TRAINING IN TANG SOO DO OFFERS A PATH TO IMPROVING MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT

IN A WELCOMING ATMOSPHERE

Adult and Advanced classes at A Mountain Wind Martial Arts offer an opportunity to explore traditional martial arts through a formal training program, which includes basic techniques, hyung (forms) training and practical self-defense skills.

Stop by to watch a class, or contact us by phone at 814-883-8783 or email at sstrohm@amountainwindmartialarts.com to arrange for your two free introductory classes.

Adults of all ages and fitness levels are welcome in our class.

No matter where you begin,

you will find that your

strength,

flexibility and endurance

improve, leading to

better fitness and enhanced

overall health.

While you will begin your classes with AMWMA as a White Belt, the "Black Belt Philosophy" will be a large part of your training program.

We believe that martial artists should be of exemplary character and stress the following in our classes:

  • Achievement - we should train to achieve our potential, developing body, mind and spirit.
  • Contribution - martial artists should volunteer to aid in community service and WTSDA activities and for the improvement of human welfare.
  • Leadership - we strive to be leaders in the Art of Tang Soo Do and in our personal and professional lives. We work to lead a righteous and respectable life, according to the 2000 year-old Codes of Tang Soo Do (Loyalty to Country, Obedience to Parents, Honor Friendship, No Retreat in Battle, In Fighting Choose with Sense and Honor).

We emphasize the development of

the whole person

and the building of a strong mind, body

and spirit.

This approach to training

reflects “Traditionalism,” the first

of the three

mottos

of the World Tang Soo Do Association.

“Professionalism,” the second of the

three WTSDA mottos, means that

as martial artists,

we uphold high standards

for martial arts training for ourselves and

for our students.

We strive to act with

dignity and integrity, in the studio and in our

personal lives.

Students find that the family atmosphere

at AMWMA promotes

camaraderie and friendship

among class members.

This is part of “Brotherhood,”

the third of the three mottos

of the WTSDA.
