Can I start at any time?

Yes. We accept new students at any time of year, whether you are a beginner or have had prior martial arts training.

Is there Free Enrollment?

Yes. There are no enrollment or start-up fees at our studio. To help you learn more about us, we offer two free introductory lessons, with no obligation.

Can I take classes without signing a contract?

Yes. You will never be asked to sign a financial contract at our studio - most schools require contracts, which obligate students to pay even if they stop taking classes.

We don’t hold our students with contracts. We value the student-instructor relationship and the bond that grows from training together.

Do I have to buy a uniform or special equipment to get started?

Not at first. We encourage students to wait until they have taken at least 10 classes before buying a uniform – we want you to be committed to continuing your training first.

When you are ready, WTSDA approved uniforms with the AMWMA stencil are available at the studio.

What is a good age to start Tang Soo Do training?

Children start as young as 6 years old.  And for adults, there is no upper age limit.

It’s never too late to start trainingAt AMWMA, our students range in age from 6 to 80 years old.

Do I need any experience?    Do I need to be an athlete to start martial arts training?

All you need to start training is a desire to learn and a willingness to give your best effort.

Each of us is different, with different physical abilities, body types, challenges and backgrounds.

Whether you are a beginner, have trained in another sport, or have a background in another style of martial art, we welcome you at our studio.
